D.O.P.-T. (day before yesterday)

There are now half-eaten green tomatoes scattered on the lawn. I think we can spare them - I had only left a few on the plants. And I'd rather something with teeth get them than the slugs. I wish they'd be neater, though.

Why is it that rodents and such always do that? Maybe it's in case one of the fruits is poisonous, in which case they wouldn't have eaten it all.
