D.O.P.-T.

Today brought intermittent rain; and my very own Bear. He's broken out one too many times; his person couldn't afford the fines any more; he lives here now. I have made some room for him among the piles of books in my room and he is snuffling around worriedly. He has also had a late breakfast and finds the placement of his waterbowl adequate. There have been dispensings of treats to both dogs but also a lot of barking.

At least it's close so his person can come and visit.

Yes, I suggested as much to him, and said we'd continue to bring him past their house on walkies, too. His former home is at the corner of the park, which he likes walking around.

Today was vet day. Total cost more than expected but he seems mainly healthy. Has bone growths on his spine, is substantially underweight, needs a bit of dental work, and there are foxtails in his left ear that will have to be removed under anesthesia when the teeth are cleaned. The guy didn't call or e-mail with any vet details so he now has shots from zero and tomorrow I must give him his first pill. Hopefully he will hoover it up.
