The hummingbirds are using their feeder more obviously now. A couple of times one has been about to feed, seen us with the dog, and hung around waiting for us to leave the area. This morning he or she instead perched on a privet sprig - and then another arrived and divebombed, and they flew away fighting loudly.

Hummingbirds are so quarrelsome! I got serenaded by multiple starlings this morning. They have quite a repertoire. The benefits of being on the top floor, and having the security light and an electrical cable right outside your window!
