We shopped. I managed to get 3 plantains. Then we fitted it all successfully into the cupboards and inside and garage freezers ... once the neighbour who'd been parked across our driveway after helping an elderly lady moved his car. Just slightly bad timing.

In the morning Prudence was lying on the front lawn under the edge of the tree, well positioned to be stepped on by the mailcarrier or someone distributing advertising leaflets. She eeked out when I emerged, so at least she didn't get stepped on.
