Well, that worked. I put out my laundry to dry in pretty sunshine—and it was drenched by a sudden rain shower. Then with the laundry in the dryer, I went for a walk and got lightly rained on by a further, smaller shower.
The housemate took the car out in the afternoon, so I swept the driveway and gutter (and beheaded 5 dandelions). But that didn't produce any further rain.
