The house behind our back yard, which once had an orchard of different fruit trees in its back yard, later just a couple and a bunch oftoys for young kids to climb on and stuff, is now for sale. They've removed the remaining trees, cleared the flowering vine off the fences, turfed over half the yard and stuck a little lemon tree in the ground, slapped a coat of paint on most of the exterior (they didn't get to the gable that shows termite damage, or do anything to the utility room; someone's left its outside door open), and the online listing shows blinding white inside paint and modernistic furniture. (It's a bungalow style, advertised as 1950 but looks more like 1930). I think it was a rental, but it's clearly heading for demolition now. 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, listed at a million and a quarter.
