2 days after I last checked, the last clump of amaryllises has extruded flower stalks. Three flowers are fully open, and one clump has 11 flower stalks. Meanwhile, the birch tree is developing yellow leaves at the ends of some branches. And I saw a small tabby eating hungrily on the porch this evening.
