We shopped a few days early; the housemate was running out of food. It turned out to be a hot day; the dog evaded me for quite a while under the plum tree when I was attempting to get her inside so we could leave, and after we had returned and stowed the new stuff and she was liberated from my room, she was back outside like a shot.
