Monty and Prudence were both there in the sunshine at breakfast time. But the rain came back with a vengeance in mid-morning, it was windy enough to blow the empty wet food dish halfway across the porch, and everything is now sopping. I laundered the cat bed that sits on the porch chair. I had to pick up an interlibrary loan book, so I was using my umbrella. Either the aqua, purple, and black chevrons on that or the red and black camo pattern of the bandana around my face apparently registered as deception with a hummingbird, who suddenly appeared in my range of vision and hovered clicking at me. I apologised.
