D.O.P.-T. (yesterday)

Forgot again ... We had waves of showers coming through; one was a torrent. Walkies took place in light rain with sun shining through it; I got to see a big rainbow, the dog got to shove her nose in lots of wet stuff. No sign of cats all day and I was a bit worried, but after dinner when I came back in from binning the recycling, Monty and Prudence were waiting for their dinner. Monty was a bit damp, Prudence was per usual immaculate self; I think she'd been lurking in the recesses of the back porch and he'd been under a tree.

Lots more rain this afternoon. Los Altos is up to 17.19" for the season. Last year's record-breaking total was 40.79"; I wouldn't object to lots more rain (although the cats are still sneaking around trying to avoid it), but I suspect we're in pretty good shape.
