I survived the dentist and tottered out into the sunny backyard to recover. I was clipping back the long grass and rooting out the foxtail kind at the base of the tall security fence when out of the corner of my eye I saw Monty slip out from under the overgrown tree to watch me. A few minutes later, picking up toyon leaves off the grass at the other side of the tree, I saw Prudence lying there in the shade, again watching me. As I finished up by clipping the long grass along the base of the screen room wall, she moved into the middle of the lawn to get a good view.
