Looking into the thicket beside the driveway to see whether the carrier had tossed the free local paper in there—no luck, everyone else on the block gets one but we never do—I saw several foil snack packets, so I went in there and got scratched up retrieving them. Turned out to be one empty and two unopened snack-size goldfish crackers packets and two unopened snack-size fruit snacks packets. And a velour drawstring bag with next-door's retractable tape-measure in it, which I stuck on top of their gatepost. This is one of the problems with privacy fences as opposed to the old tall picket fence that one could reach through.
