D.O.P.-T.

No visible progress on the fence at all today. Meanwhile for the last few days the dog has flopped up onto the housemate's bed almost as soon as she goes to bed, which is many hours before I do. This has been interfering with the housemate's sleep because the dog expands as she sleeps. I've also been worried that I can't get the dog to come out and go potty in the backyard last thing at night, so she wakes up early—this morning before dawn—and barks up a storm (and can't just be let out because right now there's no fence between the backyard and forever). We've also both been feeling chilly; but I figured just the suddenly cool weather. Then last night I looked at the thermostat and could almost see it plunging through the 60s. The furnace hasn't been turning on. The housemate had a guy come in, and oh lovely, the doohickey that senses the flame is lit and feeds gas to it is dead and we can't get a replacement fitted until tomorrow. Brr. It could be a lot worse but between not being able to go out except on leash and being chilly in the house, the dog is upset and I am unable to explain.
