A positive frenzy of power tool noises all afternoon. The only one I was sure of the source of was the landscaping service mowing a front lawn. I hope we aren't losing any more trees to someone's need for a larger house or a concrete patio. Someone is still at it this evening, but Monty is lying in the thicket beside the driveway all the same.
