Another beautiful, breezy spring day. The dog, who is less and less useful as an alarm clock and has been burrowing into one or the other of us for warmth at night, finally discovered today that I've been leaving the back door open for a few hours in the afternoon. When we went walkies, the park and the streets leading to it were almost thronged; when we passed the playing fields, I counted 7 dogs playing together while their masked owners chatted. As we neared the house on our way back, I saw Monty on the other side of the street heading briskly up the sidewalk.
