There was evidence this morning that we'd had a little rain overnight, even though none was recorded in Los Altos, the only place the government weather service looks at. It was sunny and breezy later, so I took advantage of the softened soil and dug some of the dandelions and other rosettes out of the meadow in front, including one thistle, then filled up my collection bag by cutting back those pink flowers and the ivy tendrils that were creeping onto the sidewalk. Then I found two oranges that had fallen from the tree and stowed them away for eating.
