We got another 0.3" of rain.
Since the rains came—and the dog got out—I've been seeing a lot less of the kittens. There are days when I only see Mama Violet, who even forgot to hiss at me once, but sometimes, when I see her methodically eating everything in both cat bowls, turns her back and heads off across the street when I bring out more food. But I've seen Grey One a few times, eating ravenously once evening falls and sometimes a little before, and yesterday I saw Monty, first on the fence, where he stretched languidly and then prowled, and later at the food dish, where Grey One joined him. And this morning, Silver came to get her breakfast after I'd missed seeing her for several days. They all look large and sleek. Fluffy and the other brown tabby are also around, too. Unfortunately, so are the raccoons. I do like the raccoons, but they don't need food from me.
