D.O.P.-T.

There was one small shower when I took the dog out around midnight. The next round of showers is forecast for Monday night. What little I can see in the newspapers suggests I was right in my guesstimate and we are now at about half normal rainfall for the season. Years vary tremendously, but last winter was also very dry, so I'm hoping we get at least one more rainfall like that. Two would bring us up to the average. Yesterday I baled up some cardboard boxes to go out with the recycling on Monday night; hopefully that will prompt more rain to make them soggy. Today since it's dry, I clipped out some of the long creeping grass from around the irises and from where the overgrown tree dips its branches to the ground, and topped up the greenwaste bin.
