Another night working with Old Guy there all the time, well timed because the door was again banging in the wind and I was able to turn off the alarm. It was blustery and rainy but the customers came and spent money. And there's another new trainee, who worked all second shift and then came back to work all first shift, poor thing. At home we went to Petco, where we succeeded in getting both canned and dry food for the dog and even a Yule gift for her, but they categorically refused to sell me boxes of Fancy Feast cans for Ms Bella; they only want to sell the uppercrust organic catfood. So it'll be the supermarket for her food again. They also had the worst sound quality in their holiday music I have ever heard. I wouldn't have known it was music if the housemate hadn't started fulminating about it. More like something really awful happening in the "your dog with Santa" photo shoot in the back room. But when we left, there was a rainbow over the former Office Depot across El Camino.
