I don't think that calico cat is being fed by anyone else. She's almost always waiting to be fed, and even braves the sprinkler.
The housemate has a bad cold, and Old Guy has been sneezing over everything, so I suppose I will catch it soon and may even have given it to her. One good thing is that this year the water in the bathroom tap at work is permanently warm; I think the tank must now be next to the a/c. Eerie, but makes getting my hands clean a little easier.
The House of Two White Dogs has streamers running from the picket fence to the porch eaves, where hand-colored letters on letter-sized paper spell out "10 YEARS". I think that's their tenancy rather than their marriage; maybe both. Rather cute.
I was getting icecream out of the freezer in the garage when I heard a clatter. Turned out the two planks propped up against the gate in that corner of the yard had fallen over flat. Hopefully no four-footed creatures were involved.
The next-door neighbors have had horizontal planking nailed across the fence between their yard and our driveway, which was just replaced last year (and is a solid fence of overlapping boards with no knot holes). Maybe they're afraid our catoneaster will grow through the fence.
