D.O.P.-T. (yesterday)

All the rain led to there being first one, then two inert earthworms on the carpet in the back porch room. Whether they'd somehow managed to crawl there over the back door sill or been deposited there, I don't know and don't much care - I know they're good for the garden but I hate the things. We coexist so long as I don't have to see them. So I turfed them out onto the path with the trowel when yesterday turned out to be a pretty, sunny morning and I took the opportunity to depoop the yard. By then they were both clearly dead.
