The nights are starting to draw in. Some mornings, when the clouds stay a while, I hesitate to turn off the outside light before my relief person arrives because it's still gloomy at 6:30.
A house in the neighborhood got its front yard flamboyantly xeriscaped a few years ago - a sign advertising the landscaper got placed there. It sold again recently and I notice they've removed the orange tree that was still there. I also noticed that the native, drought-tolerant plants have all expanded and quite cut off the narrow stone path to the front door. With one big ol' drought-tolerant weed in there for good measure. Doesn't look so well planned any more.
