D.O.P.-T. (yesterday)

So July came in like the Sahara. However, the sunflowers are blooming down the street - the people are using them as a front hedge, and they look very fine. And the chicken owners appear to be back from vacation and are sometimes letting the chickens into the front yard.

The sun set huge and flaming tonight, after a day of itchy eyes and haze over the hills. I'd like it if we got a thunderstorm.
