D.O.P.-T. (yesterday - DW was down :-()

Last night on a corner in San Jose I saw something I haven't seen in years - raccoons. Two of them climbed cautiously out of a storm drain - I took a spooky pic of the lead one looking about - and then tiptoed off in their ass-in-the-air way for a night's raiding.

Cold snap last night, though not as low into the 40s as was forecast. Maybe now the sweetgums will turn. This morning the gutters were dripping dew and my washing line was outlined with droplets. The orb weaver gazed down balefully from her web above it.
