D.O.P.-T. (yesterday)

It is butterfly season. White ones, big orange ones, and small orange ones. That's one of the things in favor of the Jupiter's staffs: the butterflies like them. But they also like the vine with little white flowers that has come over from the yard behind and draped itself over the chainlink fence. And sometimes they flit in swinging arcs across the lawn.

Another pink amaryllis bud stalk has appeared overnight, presumably after having been overshadowed by the clump of Jupiter's staff.
