Goodbye to a friend

I'm very sad to say that my worst fears have been realized: I've received word that wulfmann died on March 27. Those who knew him, please join me in keeping his memory alive. He was a very good friend and a noble heathen and man. I've posted to the heathenthing list and Noil has posted to the voluspa.org blog.

D.O.P.-T. (yesterday)

Those weeds with pretty mauve flowers whose name I have forgotten again are coming into bloom in everyone's lawns and borders. This year there is a whole fairy garden of them in the corner under the washing line - last year there were three, the year before that, one. I'm leaving them be, so the grass seedstalks are a forest under the tree. Picture when they flower.

The hills are still green, though we may have had our last rain. East of San Jose, below Mount Hamilton, their folds run straight down, blackened with oak trees.
