The wind got up to fierce levels last night - I rescued the cardboard box of trash from beside the liquor store door as it was starting to sail across the parking lot. El Camino was utterly deserted. Then rain started blowing through the air and settling in the hollows of the asphalt. When I got home, the moss in the cracks of the driveway was looking plump and happy, and we walked the dog in breezy drizzle until the sun broke through. "Bear"s people hadn't let him out.
