The Sunnyvale city fathers must have been alarmed by my taking pics at mid-week of all the weeds around the abandoned demolition and building project downtown. By today I see that a median that had a line of them marching along it has been cleared and covered with woodchip mulch.
Stealth sunflower re-flowering is being attempted. The tall one whose stem got bent over has a new flower with its head in the grass. The medium-sized one is putting together a new bud off the side of where the old one was bitten off. The strawberries are also reflowering, and some poor nasturtiums. I suspect the receding temps, back in the 80s, are more encouraging.
