Would you take a job as a lighthouse keeper? Either one like this, requiring also hosting guests, or one where you only had visitors once a week or less?
I tend to agree, the gourmet bed and breakfast part of that job is a total dealbreaker but I would be all over a traditional lighthouse keeper job stuck alone on a rock. So long as I had internet.
Given internet access? Yes, I'd do the job, but only if it didn't include the B&B part. I really couldn't deal with having to wait on whiny Yuppie types, complaining because there was OMGNothingtoDO! in the back-of-beyond, lighthouse B&B that looked oh, so romantic in the advert, and didn't have every last unusual condiment or shampoo they craved and didn't have a continually-available buffet of activities and entertainment options available on-demand.
Not to mention putting-up with their complaining when the weather wasn't what they assumed they'd paid for....
