Hmmmm. Many miles. There were the marches we did in the Forest Service getting to backwoods fires and once my truck broke down and I had to walk a couple hrs to the next town.... Cheers, Pat
I'm not sure exactly, but when I was a schoolgirl I participated in a walk for Miles for Millions and completed the entire course. Our sponsors were committed to pay some fixed amount per mile we completed, and did not expect a couple of schoolgirls to finish the course. I don't remember the length now, but figures like "20 miles" and "28 miles" are popping into my head. It took most of the day. The result was that I became more tired than I'd ever been, but there were no other ill effects; I don't even remember blisters. (We were both in pretty good shape, and while I don't remember the exact timing, round about that time I habitually walked to school, somewhat more than a mile each way.)

Seriously, probably near the 10 mile mark before having a rest.
