Saw a hawk perched on a cable above the street, this morning. Recognized it as a hawk from the silhouette. Barred tail, seemed like a young bird, unsure of itself - couldn't get any more specifics, as it then launched itself at a tree, out of which a smaller bird flew squawking. The cable rocked as it took off; I'm not sure if it expected that.
