Second day in a row going to the local library to get an interlibrary loan book. I knew the other one would come in immediately once I picked up the first one; at least they didn't send the first one back because I waited 2 days to claim it, like they did once. On today's trip I noticed someone's amaryllises have extruded their flower stalks and are all set to open. Ours as usual are far behind; since I daren't risk getting up on a ladder this year to chop off overshadowing branches, I'm afraid not all will launch at all.
