Monty has not been back to his hideaway in the back yard, but appears to have decided I am safe to visit in the front yard and the driveway. Last night when I went to bring in the kibble bowl shortly before midnight, he came trotting along the sidewalk and up the driveway, then when I returned with a can of food, was waiting on his old perch on the teddy bear. He jumped down and came close to me, looking towards the door, but seems to have only lapped a little at the food, because I later saw Grey One eating it. (So the kibble got brought in very late.) Then today I was finishing up watering in the driveway and saw him looking down from the fence. He moved to the crook of the bush by the front door and waited till I brought out cat dinner after feeding the dog. Then he evidently ate. Perhaps he's decided he doesn't like fish flavors.
