I walked the dog after dark today; haven't done that for a long time because she got scared. It was much quieter in the park, which was why we used to do that, and she took it in stride, but it was extra-hard to get the bit of hardened French bread out of her mouth (I assume just some spoiled child's discard and not something deliberately put out with poison on it, but I still don't want her eating it), so I think I'll stick to daylight when I can.
