Yes, and I usually can except in a place with crazy curvy streets, like San Francisco. There's a belief that Americans usually can because the street grid usually refers to the compass, but that Europeans often are unaware except at sunrise and sunset.

Yes, but since I moved to Vancouver Island, it's something I've had to teach myself. What feels like North to me, is not.

I've got lost in San Francisco so many times. I think there must be a local geospatial warping field.

Hah, hadn't even thought of that. Here it politely runs a few miles south of us.

One fault line is a feature.. but the crazy-quit of multiple criss-crossing faults that's part of San Andraeas complex, is a mess.
