We haven't had the heat wave the Midwest and East have had, but this week is ending hot and the forecast includes a chance of dry thunderstorms. On walkies we took a turn around the circular lawn in the park, and I noticed that the people lying in the sun were a sleeping family: the man with an arm over the woman, who had a little boy nestled against her. They looked very peaceful, with their backs to the southern sun, and luckily there were relatively few dogs out, although a large cohort of children were shrieking from another lawn. I hope they have a home.
