Saturday night—Sunday morning often gets quiet at work, but this morning at 4:00 two contractors' vans parked in front of the restaurant next door started making noise, and were only winding down whatever they were doing when I left after 7:00. Electric drilling, ladders banging followed by hoofing about on the roof, shouts and more banging in the alley ... my best guess is replacing the a/c, but who knows, really.

And it's also the first bad air day of the season: ozone pollution on top of the noise pollution.
