The neighbor who has covered most of her front yard with tiny white stones ripped out the burr clover plant that had sprouted at one corner - perhaps after she saw me photographing it. But apparently overnight, a luxuriant mallow has flowed over much of the sidewalk in front of that yard, with lots and lots of pale purple flowers.
