The rain panned out, we got more than 6 tenths of an inch, and the driveway is carpeted with pale green flower material from the neighbors' tree. Googling reveals that official figures for Los Altos, where the weather station is, are 19" a year average, while they now record 14.1" for this year; whereas official annual figures for where we actually are are a bit under 15.5", by which standard this year hasn't been bad. (San Jose, where the other weather station is at the airport, is of course even drier). No, we're not going to waste space and effort on a backyard weather station of our own, but I do wish I could look at Weather Underground without either crashing my browser, getting a migraine, or paying them hush money to turn off the blinking shit. Their forecasts are better, too.
