Arrived last night to the sound of illegal fireworks all around, and found the same gal still working: the night guy had called in for his afternoon shift after being involved in a car wreck. Hope he's ok and still has a car; he commutes in on Route 17, the highway over the mountains to Santa Cruz. This morning "Bharat" had called in and the manager appeared instead.
