D.O.P.-T.

The new dog has settled in pretty well. She chose herself a toy at the store at the shelter: it's a flattened roadkill skunk, with an ultrasonic squeak (but I can hear it). It's been carried all over the place and got left out in the yard overnight and is now a bit stinky, so to distract her from naughtiness (such as upending one of my potted plants), the housemate gave her a blue squeaky octopus that we had bought for Bear, but he wasn't keen. She now plays more with that; this morning she dropped it in her waterbowl, so it spent the day on the kitchen table in hopes of drying it out a bit, and the slightly soggy thing is now being carried around again; I can hear it squeaking weezily.
