The first heavy drops of rain fell before I went to bed. When I got up it was blowing hard as well as raining. It seems to have stopped now, and no complaints from the users of Booth 1.
Walking home from the bus I found the night's storm had brought down leaves and small branches from several trees, including liquidambars. The remaining long grass in our back yard was flattened.
