The many-times-failed restaurant on the corner of Fair Oaks and El Camino has been reduced to a pile of kindling. I don't know what it originally was - perhaps a steakhouse - but it always seemed to be vacant or undergoing renovation. Most recently I believe it was Indian, but I never saw it open. It was a large square building of 1970s or 1980s appearance, set diagonally on its lot so that there appeared to be enough parking. They're taking what was Chocolate Sushi too - by all reports that was a good restaurant, and it had a sophisticated building with a big circular window in front. Some fine trees will get the chop in between the two, and eventually we will have yet another vaguely Tuscan cliff-dwelling.
Edit: Yes, Indian: Arka.
