Making the weekly supermarket run on Sunday, we saw a small plane distracting drivers by buzzing to and fro across El Camino Real, towing a banner - advertising Geico car insurance. On the way back, a Google self-driving car turned out of Grant Road as we were stopped at the light - at the wheel a grinning young woman.
