It's rained a few times. The great gingko trees are almost bare now, and I raked under our plum tree a second time. I finally got the oleander bush shorn for the year this past weekend, when we had a beautiful sunny day. When I opened the greenwaste bin, seeds had started sprouting in the lip at the front. Grass is tentatively appearing in our front "lawn". More and more houses are getting decorated with lights, and the store has 2 holiday cards from suppliers. I have switched from sandals to winter shoes. Sadly, they have now fenced off the former furniture store and two fast-food places next to the site of the old garden center, put green netting over the fence, and started taking up the parking lot in front of what was Dosa House, so it could be any day now for the spiky tree.
