The little threads of new cool-weather grass are poking out in the back lawn.

I'm hearing chickens in a lot of backyards now. Including one that backs up to the top of our driveway. Must be fascinating for the cats.

This morning rather than crows screaming at each other in the big oak tree two yards down, it was parrots joyously screeching.
