The next-door neighbors are further simplifying their garden, and a few days ago eradicated the cedar hedge outside the wall. It did tend to be viewed as a trash receptacle, but I miss it.
Yesterday we walked the dogs rather late, and when we passed the city pool, a small number of lifeguards were in the deep end receiving training. Bear was most eager to jump in and participate.
