The dogs get a total of four and three pills at breakfast, three and two pills at dinner. The breakfast oil capsule for their coats simply goes in the food bowls. The others - anti-inflammatory, tummy pill to offset its side-effect, and Bear's Chinese herb - the housemate rolls up in cheese first. I still do that with her dog, who snaps, rather than licks them off my fingers. We use Laughing Cow, because I used to have it in the fridge as an occasional snack. However, they seem to have changed the recipe. It used to be rubbery; now it's runny, like something badly decayed. Bear started turning away from his pills wrapped in it; instead I now reach them out to him on my hand, and he munches them obediently. I have to scrub the cheese off my fingers after giving the housemate's dog his. I hope the next batch is back to rubbery.
