My nasturtiums are finally starting to flower. As usual, none of them got very big. I know, I know, to have them get big you have to (a) buy the original type, not the little cutesy dwarf type that are in the vast majority of seed packets (b) plant them in sand or the crevices of a rock face (c) ignore them. I just have a yen for a few pots and bits of flowerbed full of writhing tendrilly things with leaves the size of saucers and bright orange and yellow and red flowers with their tongues sticking out, but I also don't want the rest of the back garden to desertify.
