D.O.P.-T.

Rain overnight, more promised tonight and tomorrow. One of the building sites in the neighbourhood tented over their work with a tarp; the other had workers hammering on wall frames all day, and by dusk they had plywood in place on the outside. Not sure how they'll deal with it all getting drenched.

They'll ignore it and go out of business before they can be sued for the rot wet wood results in.

Or rot. But as I say, these guys don't care. Living in Mom's house taught me that builders of speculation houses put together an LLC to cover them while they're doing the construction, then go out of business before they can be held liable for any errors or omissions they made. The "footers" for Mom's deck were cinderblocks laid in mud, and there was nobody to complain or hold accountable.
